Proteomics Nanocourse presented by Harvard Catalyst Genetics Consortium

* Registration opens on April 17 for a new proteomics nanocourse organized by the Harvard Catalyst Genetics Consortium. The nanocourse will provide an introductory overview of proteomics for clinicians, investigators, graduate and medical students, nurses, and other clinical research staff with an interest in proteomics, metabolomics, and disease biomarkers. The course will introduce the fundamental language and concepts of proteomics, from sample preparation to proteomic data analysis, from protein-protein interaction networks to proteomic and metabolomic biomarker validation, and more. Located at The Center for Life Science Boston on the Harvard medical School Longwood Campus. The Center provides all of the tools of modern functional genomics and proteomics. Equipped with State-of-the-art technologies for transcriptional profiling, proteomics, real-time PCR and robotics.
We specialize in high throughput Affymetrix GeneChip plate arrays. More cost effective, efficient, reproducible, precise, and more sensitive than GeneChip cartridge arrays. Up to 96 samples on one run with as little as 50ng of RNA, or picograms with LCM. Affymetrix GeneChip cartridge arrays are also available. The BIDMC Genomics Center offers affymetrix experiments and services from RNA isolation to data analysis. Check out our genomics services.
The proteomics Core provieds a comprehensive array of services pertaining to design, performance and analysis of proteomics studies. Protein quantitation by µLC/MS/MS, iTRAQ - 8-plex isobaric peptide tagging system, protein identification by LC-MALDI and LC/MS/MS, identification of protein and peptide modifications, and protein profiling. These microtiter-based GeneChips as well as the probe labeling are processed on a robot. Up to 96 samples can be processed within 3 days.
